Big things are happening at Palm Springs International Airport — and now, there’s a new way to follow the progress.

Progress PSP, the airport’s newly launched project tracking website, gives travelers and community members a front-row seat to the improvements transforming PSP from the ground up. From new shade structures and restroom renovations to airfield planning and sustainability upgrades, the site makes it easy to see what’s underway, what’s coming soon, and how it all fits into the airport’s long-term vision.

“PSP is getting better every day — and our team is working hard to make sure travelers feel the difference,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., Executive Director of Aviation. “We have years of meaningful improvements ahead — all focused on the passenger experience, and none funded by local taxes. Progress PSP opens our doors to show what we’re building, when, how we’re funding it, and why it matters. It’s about transparency, forward momentum, and delivering world-class upgrades travelers will see and feel.”

The site offers an inside look at dozens of airport projects — each with a short description, cost, funding source, and estimated completion date. Some key categories and projects include:

  • Terminal upgrades: new restrooms, terrazzo flooring, comfortable passenger amenities
  • Airside projects: runway planning, baggage system expansion, future international arrivals
  • Landside improvements: parking tech, electric buses, and a new rental car center

Projects are sorted by status — from planned to completed — so you can see what’s coming, what’s underway, and what’s already making a difference. Each one reflects PSP’s smart growth and signature desert-modern style.
