Nonstop Flights to Sacramento Take Off from
Palm Springs International Airport
Palm Springs, California – Today Southwest Airlines launched new year-round nonstop service to
Sacramento from Palm Springs International Airport. Southwest announced the twice-daily service to
Sacramento in June with three other routes, Dallas Love Field, Chicago Midway, and Portland.
“We are thrilled Southwest’s flights between Sacramento to Palm Springs have begun,” said
Colleen Pace, Visit Greater Palm Springs Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. “The daily year-round
service will strengthen the business connection between our destinations, opening up new opportunities
to welcome group and leisure visitors into Greater Palm Springs.”
“Securing nonstop service to Sacramento, which has been a top requested route over the past
several years, has been a priority for the community,” said Harry Barrett, Assistant Executive Director of
Aviation. “Not only will the Coachella Valley will receive a great economic benefit with this new service,
but our local valley residents now have a quick nonstop flight to visit our state’s capital.”
With the addition of service to Sacramento, Southwest now offers nonstop flights to five cities
from Palm Springs, including Las Vegas, Oakland, Denver, and Phoenix. In November, which will be their
first anniversary at PSP, Southwest will serve eight cities from Palm Springs when they launch flights to
Chicago Midway, Dallas Love, and Portland.
