December 2, 2025 ~ The City of Palm Springs intends to submit PFC Application 3 seeking PFC impose and use authority on a pay-as-you-go basis for Outbound Baggage Handling System – Terminal Expansion, Breach Gate, Sonny Bono Concourse escalators, and Sonny Bono Concourse and Courtyard restrooms, design.

March 27, 2025 ~ The City of Palm Springs, as the Lead Agency for the proposed Comprehensive Airport Master Plan for Palm Springs International Airport, has determined that a Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) will be prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). A Notice of Preparation (NOP) will be circulated for public comment during a 30-day period beginning March 27, 2025, and ending April 26, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

October 7, 2024 ~ The City of Palm Springs has prepared a Draft Categorical Exclusion to identify the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed Airport Terminal Baggage Claim Expansion and Inline Baggage Handling System Improvements and Expansion at Palm Springs Airport (Airport).

August 27, 2024 ~ The City of Palm Springs intends to submit an amendment to PFC Application 92-01-C-03 to reflect lower-than-expected financing costs. This amendment is for the application that approved the 1990s Airport Terminal Expansion project, which included the Sonny Bono Concourse.
